The Curragh will stage the top 2 year old race in Europe this year when 9 runners line up in the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes this Sunday.
The Aidan O’Brien trained Royal Ascot winner Power will lead the Irish trained challenge, while a very strong British trained contingent includes Frederick Engels, Lilbourne Lad and Gatepost. Other notable runners include Tough As Nails, Parish Hall and La Colina
Darley Irish Oaks runner up Banimpire is one of six runners in the Group 2 Keeneland Royal Whip Stakes, while the unbeaten Maybe takes on nine fillies in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes with other notable runners including Lightning Pearl, Remember Alexander, Rubina, Teolane and Yellow Rosebud
The British trained quartet of Winker Watson, Deacon Blues, Norville and Hitchens will face the start in the Group 3 Patrick P O’Leary Phoenix Sprint, with the Irish team of runners headed by Six of Hearts and the Aidan O’Brien trained Empowering
Nine of the top amateur lady riders in Europe will compete in the Irish leg of the Fegentri World Championship series with Katie Harrison representing Ireland.
