A week of horse racing activities from the 9th to the 16th October will launch Go Racing in Kildare Membership for 2012. This initiative will feature four days of racing in the Thoroughbred County, together with a variety of other events aimed at showcasing horse racing in County Kildare, including an insight into training horses on the Curragh with a special walking tour.
Go Racing In Kildare Membership is a “must buy” for any horse racing enthusiast. Benefits of membership include admission to all race days at The Curragh, Punchestown and Naas in 2012, together with a variety of exclusive benefits and privileges for members throughout the year. The cost is €299 or €199 for Seniors and Under 25s.
The Curragh starts the week on Sunday 9th October and to celebrate the finale of their 2011 season admission will be free, which has been made possible by Hackett’s Bookmakers who sponsor the featured Irish Cesarewitch,. Other races on the seven race programme which starts at 2.15pm, include the Lanwades & Staffordstown Studs Stakes, Go Racing in Kildare Finale Stakes and Testimonial Stakes.
Punchestown kicks off their 2011/12 season with two exciting race days on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th with a packed programme of racing, featuring the Grade 3 Buck House Chase and Grade 3 The Star “Best for Racing Coverage” Chase.
Naas will stage one of the highlights of the year with Ladies Day on Sunday 16th, featuring the ultra competitive Derrinstown Stud Birdcatcher Nursery, while all eyes will also be on the fashion. Well-known mother and daughter fashionistas, Gillian & Aisling Quinn, have been revealed as this year’s celebrity judges and they will award a fabulous prize worth €1,000 from the Osprey Hotel + Spa to the most stylishly dressed lady on the day.
