The Andy Oliver trained Sendmylovetorose and My Special J’s trained by Pat Shannon will attempt to give their trainers their first Group 1 race success in the Moyglare Stud Stakes taking place at the Curragh this Sunday.
Other notable entries among the 13 runners include the Aidan O’Brien trained Snow Queen, the John Oxx trained pair of Harasiya and Karamaya, Starbright trained by Kevin Prendergast and the Ger Lyons trained Private Alexander. The British challenge is made up of the Mick Channon trained Orpha and Sky Lantern trained by Richard Hannon.
Nahrain will be tough to beat in the Group 2 Irresistible Jewel Blandford Stakes, where the Roger Varian trained filly will face 7 rivals including last year’s winner Manieree, while Famous Names will attempt to win his 20th race when the Dermot Weld trained performer contests the Group 3 Refuse to Bend Solonaway Stakes.

The fashion and style will be an important element of the day with the Newbridge Silverware Search for a Style Icon competition taking place. Judges including 2012 Rose of Tralee Nicola McEvoy, legendary television and radio presenter Gay Byrne and Eva Maria Bucher-Haefner of Moyglare Stud will select one lucky lady who will receive a magnificent VVIP prize courtesy of Moyglare Stud at the unique White Turf Horse Races on the snow in beautiful St Moritz Switzerland, together with a €5,000 voucher from Newbridge Silverware
An exciting variety of FREE entertainment for children will take place in the garden enclosure, including face painting, bouncy castles, the RACE horse racing simulator and the Giddy Up Club with the chance for kids to learn all about horse racing and met some famous jockeys, while there will be live music from the No 1 Army Band, Pud and his band, Mark Boylan and The Badgers.
