Mary Delaney of GAIN Horse Feeds is joined by Paul Hensey General Manager of the Curragh Racecourse and David Wachman, trainer of Sudirman winner of the Railway Stakes in 2013, to launch the sponsorship of the Railway Stakes by GAIN Horse Feeds. The prestigious Group 2 contest takes place on Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day, Saturday 28th June
GAIN Horse Feeds have agreed to sponsor the prestigious Railway Stakes taking place at the Curragh on Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day, Saturday 28th June, for the next two years.
First run in 1851, the Group 2 contest with total prize money of 100,000 euro is one of the most highly rated races for 2 year olds in Europe. Previous winners of six furlong contest including Mastercraftsman, George Washington, Rock of Gibraltar and Sudirman who landed the race last year, while the legendary Nijinsky won the race in 1969.
